Mosque

Building mosques in underserved communities is about more than just creating physical structures; it’s about fostering faith, unity, and a sense of belonging. Each mosque serves as a sacred space where people can come together to pray, reflect, and strengthen their spiritual connection. Beyond worship, these mosques become centers of learning and community engagement, offering a place for education, support, and the nurturing of shared values. Through our mosque-building projects, we aim to address the spiritual and social needs of communities that lack access to such essential spaces. These projects bring hope and transformation, creating environments where people can unite, celebrate their faith, and build stronger, more cohesive communities. Each mosque we build stands as a symbol of togetherness and the power of collective effort to uplift lives.

How did this come to our attention?

Through our community outreach programs, we recognized that many communities lacked a central place of worship where people could gather, pray, and strengthen their faith. For some, the nearest mosque was miles away, making it difficult to participate in regular prayers and community activities.

We also learned that mosques are not just places of worship but serve as hubs for education, community bonding, and social support. Understanding this need, we began our initiative to build mosques in communities, ensuring everyone has access to a welcoming space for spiritual and communal growth.

A mosque is more than a place of worship; it is a cornerstone of faith, unity, and community.

Why does ICODEHS provide free health screenings?

We build mosques to provide communities with a central place for prayer, learning, and unity. Many areas lack access to a mosque, and our projects aim to fill this gap.

What facilities are included in the mosques?

Our mosques are designed to accommodate prayer spaces, ablution areas, and sometimes additional facilities for learning and community activities.

Are these mosques open to everyone?

Yes, the mosques are built for all community members, ensuring they have a space to gather, pray, and engage in community activities.

Do you also provide maintenance for the mosques?

We collaborate with local communities to ensure the mosques are well-maintained after construction. In some cases, we provide initial support for upkeep.

How do you choose where to build a mosque?

We work closely with local leaders and assess community needs to identify areas where access to a mosque is most limited or non-existent.

Who funds the mosque building projects?

Our projects are funded through donations from generous supporters, organizations, and fundraising initiatives.

How long does it take to build a mosque?

The timeline depends on the size of the project and available resources, but we aim to complete construction as quickly as possible while maintaining quality.

How can I support ICODEH’s mosque building projects?

You can support by donating funds, materials or volunteering your time. Spreading awareness about our initiative also helps us to reach more communities in need.
